“As part of the effort to fight hunger, the 2018 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) raised more than $19,220 for the Atlanta Community Food Bank through its ‘Giving Back to Atlanta’ campaign. The initial $17,500 check presentation included contributions from IPPE and Hawkins Inc., and an additional $1,720 was provided by numerous individual donations.

MINNEAPOLIS, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Hawkins, Inc. (NASDAQ: HWKN) announced today the hiring of Jeffrey P. Oldenkamp to join the Company as Vice President on May 16, 2017. Mr. Oldenkamp will assume the additional roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer after the filing of the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K, which is expected in early June of 2017. Kathleen Pepski had previously announced her planned retirement and will remain in the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer until that time.
Mr. Oldenkamp joins Hawkins, Inc. from MTS Systems Corporation, where he served as Chief Financial Officer since January of 2015. Prior to being appointed CFO, Oldenkamp was the Vice President of Finance for the MTS Test business. He has over 20 years of extensive financial leadership experience, and has held various financial positions at Nilfisk-Advance, Inc. and Emerson Electric, Inc. Mr. Oldenkamp holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas.

Kathy joined Hawkins in 2008 and during that time, while growth and acquisitions have been a large part of her focus, she has also been focusing on mutual respect for the company and its employees; which has been her greatest source of pride. Kathy has given us the knowledge, the strategy and the relationships to help our company reach where we are today. Kathy has been a great partner, totally aligned with the company’s business goals from day one.
As Kathy prepares to retire in June of 2017, she hopes her vision for Hawkins will be carried on by her successor. In Kathy’s words “ We haven’t arrived, but we’re on the right journey. We have great staff and credibility within the business and I’m very proud of that.”
